Summary: The goal of this project was to find an existing application and perform heuristic evaluation on the current design, then plan and execute usability testing around specific, common workflows. The application we chose was the WeatherChannel app for Android. First we created a test plan for the usability testing (WeatherChannel Test Plan), then we created a moderator’s guide to compile the screener and questions we needed to be the same for each usability session (WeatherChannel Mod Guide). Lastly, we compiled the results of our testing and created suggestions for the WeatherChannel app team to follow to improve usability around the identified workflows (WeatherChannel User Testing Results).
